A Merry Christmas

Northwoods brings home to you. I can't get enough of these stamps. You can do so much with them. I actually did use these as the product samples suggested this time. You may not be able to tell but the stamped image is all glittered up and was it fun!  All you have to do is color your image if you want to, I did with chalks and add the glue with a glue pen and then glitter. I love it.

I miss Make Time To Create already. Dolly and Mary have encouraged me all along my growth process until I was able to actually design for them. Lets keep them in our prayers and I know they would want us to CREATE!

A Northwoods Christmas

Hello fellow crafters. Today I am uploading the second card I created with the new Northwood scenery stamp I purchased at Make Time To Create (MTTC). This was a super easy card. I stamped the image and trimmed it down to fit in the die cut window. I love all the die cuts that are available at MTTC.  They have almost any shape you want. I attached the scene to the window. I cut the paper from My Little Yellow Bicycle - Once Upon A Christmas paper line to fit my card. Punched the bottom with EK Success border punch. Die cut Merry Christmas from a Spellbinder die and applied it and the window with pop dots. So simple and quick, but very pretty.

I wanted to show you a close up of the window. Lovely. It's like looking through to the past when things where simple and more peaceful.
There are so many things in the Northwood stamps that you can make the center of your card. The next card will be highlighting something in the background I didn't even notice at first. Northwood stamps are a must have! You can do many different styles of cards with just one stamp.

A Season of Hope

A Season of hope, A promise of Peace. Christmas to me is a softening of the spirit and the presence of Christ. The Bible promises a peace that transcends all human understanding when we know Him and an opportunity to reach others with His beauty and grace. I can't image life without the promise of His Love.
Back to the cards, I love the lights, the music and all the beautiful decorations and crafts you can make at this time of year. The Northwoods stamps are in at Make Time to Create and they are truly beautiful. They have a board of example cards made along with two I made Friday at late create. The one above is the first one I made. It has pretty snowflake paper ( My Little Yellow Bicycle-Once Upon A Christmas) on the bottom with the Northwood stamped image layered on top of it and the brown strip punched and applied and the cardinal wreath punched out of the My Little Yellow Bicycle - Once upon a Christmas paper line. The saying is also from Northwoods. This card has been glittered although the picture doesn't do it justice. There are lots of winter scenes from Northwoods at Make Time to Create and several sayings also. I bent the paper saying and taped it down in two different places to give it a wavy two dimensional look. There are many ways to use the winter scenes which I will be showing you the next several days, so come back and see them and hopefully be inspired.

Blessings

At Make Time to Create on Friday night I bought a new pad of paper - Bo Bunny's Serenity pad. The style of paper has an oriental flair to it. I thought it was very calming and interesting to see paper inspired by a different country. My daughter went to China last spring break so I wanted to work with a new style of design. This pad has some unique colors put together and I liked the flowers, They reminded me of dogwood blossoms in the spring. The path was from clear sets from Inky Antics. My daughter said in China people aren't in such a rush and the path seemed to match the culture. This was a fun pad to work with. The Blessings stamp is from My Daily Bread - Mini Tags set. I have gotten a lot of usage with this stamp set. It comes with several different sayings and it makes this set indispensable.
We has a design meeting Sunday so the team will be coming out with some new designs. Mind will be Christmas. Can't wait! Below is a peek of the new products I will be using. :)

The Sweetest Thing

Make Time to Create has several lines of paper from My Minds Eye. This card is made from The Sweetest Thing paper, accessories and stamps. I love the fact that they not only have the paper but stickers, chipboard and stamps to go with the paper. It makes the card effortless to make and the scrapbook pages in the store with this paper are beautiful. My friend Melody made the pages and you have to go check them out. She is so talented. I love the chipboard pieces on the top right of the card they really add a lot to the card and they are adhesive also. I also stamped the envelop which peaks your interest when you receive the card. You know it is going to be something special.
When you go into Make Time to Create it is hard to decide what you are going to buy, but be sure they will have what you need or they are able to order specific things for you. Dolly and Mary are great about helping your project to be a success.

Seek Joy

Seek Joy, boy is that a hard thing to do sometimes. Yet I find that if I make the effort my day goes a lot better. This card when I look at it is a good reminder. It was simple to make and I had great papers to work with from Make Time To Create. This is the Almanac Line with accessories. I used a cameo from Jolees and the punch is from EK success.
This Saturday is the celebration of the anniversary of Make Time To Create. Dolly and Mary always make it special not only for them but for everyone. Get out and see the new products, enjoy the refreshments and do a make and take. Oh there will be SALES!!! See you there.

Song Bird

Happy Birthday to anyone who may be having a birthday, close to a birthday or just had a birthday. Birthdays are a gift. Another day to rejoice and make an effort to look for the good in the day and the people around you. It is hard some days more than others but the word calls us to rejoice in the day the Lord has made. It is up to Him to give us the power to do it. So happy day and remember you are here for a reason. God doesn't make mistakes! You are special.

P.S. This is one of my favorite cards I have made. They have the paper at Make Time to Create, Newburgh, IN along with the ribbon, rose and rhinestones, so drop in  and encourage our hardworking gals.

Memories

Ahhh, another Graphic 45, A Ladies Diary card.  So pretty. Women really had style back then. I look at this paper and it makes me want to go back and experience this time period. Again this card was quick to make and looks elegant. It has 4 different sheets out of this pad of paper. I made it in ten minutes. There are so many nice paper selections at Make Time To Create, I'm sure they have your style. They also have many classes going on this month. Check the calendar. See you soon.

Happiness Always

The title certainly describes the Graphic 45 tablet, A Ladies Diary. I love, love, love all the paper in this pad. It is so versatile. You can make masculine cards and very ladylike cards. It reminds me of a total different era, but in a warm way. They had such style and in turn your cards are stylish when you use any of this paper. I also put a strip of the paper on the flap of the envelope, as you can see above, to coordinate with the card.  I have several more cards to show you in the next few days so come back and see them. I hope this inspires you to drop by Make Time To Create and pick up a few sheets of this paper and make a fabulous card.

Graphic 45

Today's card is for a man. I always seem to leave them out in my card making time because I don't send as many of them. But, I recently purchased a pad of paper - Graphic 45 - A Ladies Diary, and it has some nostalgic paper in it of a time of style and dapper gentlemen. It was a peek into the past and what they wore and how they carried themselves. I couldn't wait to make the card above. It was nice to be able to have some paper that made it easy to create a masculine card. Our men are special and need to be encouraged. Who doesn't? I have been with my husband since I was 17 and we have had some extreme ups and downsssss. But we have made it through them. So ladies encourage your man and pray for the changes needed instead of pointing them out. Try a month of encouragement whether you receive anything or not. The first thing to do......Give him a card made from Graphic 45 and look for what you loved in him in the beginning.

Honey Bee

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. We have been busy at Make Time to Create. The Friday nite late creates are so fun. This was my first card I created with the new paper line HONEY in from My Minds Eye. It is so sweet. This first card was all flowers but this card actually shows the reason why it is called Honey. The bees and honeycomb pattern in the paper and the stickers that go with it are 2 cute. The flowers that draw the bees and the fun graphic elements in the coordinating papers make it bright and easy to create a special card for a honey sweet person. The washi border on the side did not look appealing on the roll but girls when you roll out the tape and apply it really adds to the card. Don't be afraid to try it. This isn't the only new line of paper in the store. Go to the Make Time to Create's blogspot and check out the other lines, and in the store they are twice as pretty. Hurry in they are going fast!

Honey Line

Wow the new lines of paper Make Time to Create have gotten in are beautiful. This is just one of the lines which is called Honey. It has flowers and bees and wonderful accessories to go with it. They are all on a paper rack together so everything is very easy to find. I love the big flowers and the smaller flowers to go with it. The chipboard pieces that are stickers are so easy to make a quick beautiful card.

Up close you can see they have raised tape behind it which I love for dimension. I added the bling of the gems on the middle of the flowers. Cute. Check back for more to come with this line.

Little Miss

Love this paper from Bo Bunny. It has it all. This card has just a few of my favorite things. Like birds, bird cages, flowers and pearls. The other sheets of paper with this line have young girls, teapots and of course a puppy dog.  The colors are warm reds, greens, browns and rust. No one will have a problem making a card or scrapbook page from this paper line. Choosing will be the only hard thing to do since Make Time to Create has a whole new line in beside all the great paper they had to start with. Drop by and do the paper dance.

Christmas in July

Christmas in July was awesome! It's about stamping, scrapping, talking, shopping, eating and being inspired. This event at Make Time To Create was so relaxing and stimulating at the same time. I seen lots of creativity and just plain beauty in the works. Two rooms full of ladies making cards and scrapbook pages.
The two ladies above are Melody in the blue and Pat in the teal shirt. They are showing the albums they have started to put the pictures in they took when they went out for Melodies birthday, which was July 4th.  They were having a ball scrappin and remembering the party they had in the movie theater and at Cheeseburger in Paradise.
They are so gifted and I learned a lot from them. I am just starting scrapbooking and they have really encouraged me.

Also along for the birthday ride was Mary in the green and I think Pat in the red was there also. Can you guess what movie they seen by Mary's page? They had some niceeee pictures.

The other gals at the other table were also having a blast. You can tell they were in the Christmas spirit. They also made some beautiful pages. At the bottom is Anastasia's pages, they are really falltastic and remind be of cooler weather to come.

Christmas in July was really fun. Drop by Make Time to Create and sign up for the next event or Late Night Create on Friday Night. We always have fun and you will learn something in the process. If you don't you can always shop, which I find hard not to since she has new items in weekly.
See you soon.

Boy's Birthday

Whew, what a hot past couple of days. Good thing we have Friday night late creates at Make Time To Create. Dolly & Mary are doing this every Friday night this summer. The best remedy for a hot day. That is where I made this fun card for a male birthday. The paper selection MTTC (Make Time to Create) is awesome. They have new products coming in all the time. I wouldn't normally put these greens and blues together but I think they work very well together. Love the new buttons from American Crafts. They have a silver sheen to them and really make the card pop along with the shiny star brad. The buttons come in several different packs. Some all silver some silver, gold and bronze, and other multi-color packs. They are new to the shop. I also used the happy Birthday sticker out of the Party Time Boy from Pebbles Inc., which has several other birthday sayings. There are so many things to pick from and coordinating accessories to choose from to make your card or scrapbook page awesome.
What I also like about MTTC is that Mary, Dolly or any of the girls in the shop are willing to give you input to help put a project together. Just last Friday one of the girls at late create was having a problem with her cricut and one of the veteran scrappers and Mary came to the rescue. It was awesome to see everyone come together to help this young lady get her project going on the right track again. Great people to hang out with.
Hey I need your vote. I am getting some designs together for a class and need your input. How many people would be interested in doing square cards as a class or just regular invitation size cards for a class? Vintage cards • Modern cards • Cute cards • Glitzy Cards? Generic, Birthday or combination?
Let me know so I can put something together. Hope to see you some Friday coming up. Have a good week!

Country Garden Seeds

Wow, how the time has flown by. I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted. Graduation, parties and preparing for a party has kept me busy. They all went great. Now I can't wait to get back to creating.
The designers for Make Time to Create and Dolly recently met to discuss upcoming events and ideals for products from the store. The girls brought some pieces they had been working on and they were really neat. This is one of the cards I designed with the new paper from BoBunny. It wasn't hard to make and the paper and accessories that go with it are so pretty. I love the dollie and who can do without a strip of lace to pretty up a card. This card took about 10 minutes to make and was so easy. Make Time To Create has new products arriving all the time so drop in and take a look. Later this week I will post the other card so check back with me.

Nature's Blessings

Hello all. Today's card is another example of the new products at Make Time To Create. The papers are so endearing and peaceful. The black roses and the little characters hovering over the gardens. This paper has a lot of possibilities. There are several different sections on the paper giving you different themes to work with. The black paper at the bottom with pink designs is so elegant and just begged to be put together with the lace and the black accents on the Prima paper. The brads are from My Minds Eye and fit really well with the chipboard underneath them. I have decided to leave the chipboard blank until I send it leaving my options open on what type of card it will be. This is a 6"x 6" card so it does take more postage to send it but I love working with the square cards. It has more room and seems to balance out well. The chipboard comes with 4 different boards with lots of different images that go with several of the new papers at the shop. It is so easy to use and looks beautiful to me. Come join us in some of the classes or at the late creates on Friday evening. That is where I made this card and had wonderful company also. Best thing is I get to see what others create and get inspired. Until next time.

Sun Kisses

Sun Kiss is the name of some of the new paper Make Time to Create has in their store. It is so warm, just like a kiss from the Sun. The name fits. Pretty sunflowers, butterflies and bees. You can't help but be inspired by the paper and accessories that go with it. Dolly and Mary have really outdone themselves with the products they have ordered in the last weeks. Not just the paper but chipboard, tags, little miniature clothes pens  and stamps that all coordinate. You have to go experience their store.
This card reminds me of my daughter. So sweet and caring and lots of natural sunshine. It won't be long and she will be off to college and this card will be perfect to send. Below are the products I used from Make Time To Create, Newburgh, IN. Come back and see the next line of paper - Almanac I will be blogging about. New Stamps

What a great weekend. The beautiful sunny days and warm but not hot weather. I got a lot accomplished this weekend in the yard and inside our home. The sun just makes you want to do something.
Quick update on Olivia's trip to China. They have been to the great wall in Beijing, down by the ocean with middle schoolers, College to have English conversations with the other kids, an island off of Hong Kong to pray with teens that are to be there for 2 years with drug and alcohol problems, the park participating in a dance class, haggling in the market, and eating a lot of strange food including fish eyes. This morning going to church and the flight home begins later today. Sounds awesome. Thank You for your prayers for our teens!
Now to our card. This one is just elegant. I love the Stella Rose products. It isn't hard to make a pretty card with and they have coordinating accessories. Right up my ally. Make Time to Create has a lot of new paper and coordinating accessories coming in and going out as fast as they can get them. One of the many things I like about this shop are the examples all around the store to motivate you and help you see what can be done with the products. Dolly and Mary are happy to help put things together and have classes on different things from making cards, a page or learning how to use Copic markers. Pop in and check them out in Newburgh, In, Sharon Road across from the American Legion.

China Bound

Hello all, Saturday Olivia and four other High School girls left for a mission trip to China. They will be going to Beijing and Hong Kong. They are taking things for the ministry in their checkin bags, like devotionals, clothing and other items for personal use for the Chinese. They were so excited. They each had to raise the money for their trip and put a lot of hard work and study into the culture. Brian Keaney will be with them and is a veteran at traveling the world and mission trips. Please keep them in your prayers if the Lord puts them on your heart.

The card below is the thank you card and prayer concerns sent out for Olivia and the girls.

This was a fun card to make. The card was already shaped like a ticket which made me think of the tag attached to your luggage. The beautiful paper is from Make Time To Create, perfect since it had the different luggage on it. Just love the checks also. The ribbon from Stampin Up as well as the saying. The airplane and Trip of a Lifetime are raised Stickers from Jolee. Have a good week and remember the world is bigger than the US we can influence other countries for the good.

New Paper IN!

Late Create was on at Make Time to Create, Newburgh, IN last night (Friday). It was really exciting. I was greeted with a shout from my fellow crafters who made it there before me. They were already creating like crazy and fired up.  They should be. Dolly and Mary had lots of new paper, stamps and accessories come in this last week and more to come!  Weeeee...  We had a great time looking through it while they prepared for the crop the next day.
The card above is made with some of the new paper and stamps. I wanted to keep it closed  a little so you could see the lady inside hence the lamb carving. It was so easy to come up with something since the paper was so pretty. I loveeee vintage paper and stamps. They have plenty to pick from but there is also a large selection and styles of paper and accessories from baby, children, travel, sewing, fishing, hunting, camping and just some fun graphics etc... You can spend hours looking in their shop at the products. I also like the fact that there are many samples made with the different papers and products to give you ideas and if you don't have time Dolly has some cards made up for sale. You can't beat that. Go check them out.
Well my daughter is going to China on spring break and I have to go make some thank you cards for those who supported her trip with financing it and committing to pray for them. Have a good weekend and be posting soon.

Valentine

Sorry it has been so long, our enternet was down due to changing providers. Guess what's coming up? The sweetest Holiday yet. Valentines Day. Chocolates and flowers a nice combination. The card I decided to do was all about pink, pretty cuts and a touch of vintage. You don't always have to have a die cut to make your card stand out. I cut a template for the two heart shapes on the front of the card. The pink plaid heart and the smaller heart on top. Just draw the hearts on card stock cut and draw on your paper and cut again. Super easy and looks great. The decorative scroll down the side is an EK punch and was quick to use. These punches are a good small investment and make your cards look beautiful. I will be doing several Valentines Day cards this week so check back with me.The products I used are listed below.

Make Time to Create has moved and is opened again. Awesome!  You must go check it out. They moved to the North side of the same building across from the American Legion in Newburgh on Sharon Road. The girls worked hard to make it a better crafting store just for you.

9-11 crop

Two Fridays ago Mary and Dolly hosted an all day crop at Make Time To Create. It was really a good time to settle in a warm atmosphere and make pages or cards all day and all night. WOW it was fun. It seems short just doin it for a few hours and this day gave you time to think and design something special. I like it because the other ladies will help if your stuck or give suggestions if needed. Many will provide inspiration or even products to use. Mary on the left above and Dolly on the right had two beautiful pages to make along with food and prizes for that day. I made my first pages for my daughter's gymnastic album and several cards. Check out Make Time to Create's Calendar for upcoming events to scrap, make cards etc...

Below is one of the cards I created.
This card reminds be of my mom. She is a master quilter and loves to quilt. She has done it now for many years and everything she makes is awesome. I will have to take some pictures of her latest quilts.
Back to the card. There are several papers you can choose from to make cards with a sewing theme plus they have a die cut sheet that goes with them with really neat sayings and shapes to complete your card or page you may be creating. The wooden buttons are so authentic they jump off the card. Luv them. So many options with this paper. This paper makes me want to SEW!
