Another Card for the Men You Know

This card is made out of the same paper as the previous card but a different look. Of course from graphic 45. A word of encouragement for one of our worship leaders in our church. Simple and fast to make. I love those square cards. Don't forget they take extra postage to mail.

Starting on designing my Valentines. It comes up quick. Don't forget the people your around everyday. Surprise someone with a valentine. It isn't always about romance but showing you care and are thinking of them.

Cards for Men

Well hello everyone. I am back to making cards after all the remodeling and storm damage repair to our new old farmhouse. We love it here and I will be uploading some pics of our adventure and my wonderful husbands construction talents.

The card above was constructed with Graphic 45's Good Ol' Sport Collection and the stamp used from Stampabilities. Die cut used from Spellbinders.

Good to be back and I promise by photography will get better.:)

Nap Time

Guess what? We have kittens. Smile....we have three kittens
and another mommy cat pregnant. So if anyone is interested in kittens they will be available soon to a good home. So fun to watch and see the different stages of growth. Make a comment if you can't resist these sweet kittens.

Now on to the most recent card I worked on Friday night. I was focusing on Birthday Cards. Below was the last one I created. I actually got five cards done! This one is for anyone, but I did several cards that had a western theme. I will post one of those also today.

I like the black and white theme. You may not be able to see it but I have some glitter on the bird nest and the leaves in the branches. Black is just so timeless and elegant. The stamp is Impression Obsession and the paper Lost and Found Pad.  Next is the western theme and I will be posting several  in the days to come alone with new kitten updates.

Another birthday card and this one is more male oriented. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Wanted 6x6 pad. The chipboard stickers also Cosmo Cricket. There is just something about cowboys and the western theme. A reminder of the past and the hard work and hard play time back then.

Well off to work on my Place in Time Calendar. I am on June, almost halfway done. Come back and visit with me.

Lucy Cromwell

Papermania's Lucy Cromwell Die-Cut Glitter Toppers are so lovely and effortless in making cards. Just punch them out and put pop dots on the back and apply them to anything. They already have the glitter on them These two cards above were super easy. I picked the square cards up at Michaels for a dollar a pack and they already had the embossing around the edges. I sponged them with ink, stamped my sentiment and added a bow. Below is a close up of the back card so you can see the glitter and the graphic better.

I bought these from Creative Dreams while they were at the Autism Crop. They were really fun to use and the crop was awesome as usual. Lots of talking, shopping and creating. Thank You Dolly for getting it all together.
Creative Dreams has lots of beautiful paper and accessories. Drop by and check them out on Morgan Avenue. More to come, so come back and visit.

Spring is Here!

Hey long time no see. Wow I have really been side tracked lately with moving and having people over and unpacking. Dolly dropped me a little line after seeing my last card on the blog and sparked that creative desire to make and create and then blog about it. I hope you enjoy this card.
I used Lost & Found  - Rosy 6x6 pad. I didn't even need to stamp with this paper. I used an EKSuccess  Border punch on the top of the striped paper and lace on the bottom to pretty it up. If you have a bird, you have to have flowers so I combined the fabric flower with the crocheted flower, both with brads to add a little bling. I also used some of the black and white polka dot paper for my envelope flap to hint of the contents of the letter. Creators this was fast, easy and to me so prettyyy.

Life is about having a dream, daydreaming and or changing your dreams. But don't stop dreaming. We are created in His image and He gave us all gifts and talents. So get up and try something new or get back to making your dream come true. Enjoy these beautiful warm days. Be back soon.

Thinking of You

My friend Kelly had been inviting me to stamp at her home throughout the months we were remodeling our house. And I had to keep telling her no. So I finally got to go stamping and she had the paper and some goodies set out at my station to welcome me in her home. It is such a bright and pretty paper it wasn't hard to make a card with it.
Butterflys just say it all. They give us hope that spring is coming along with warmer weather. I love the soft colors along with a pop of bright colors. Of course I had to add some bling. The label was made with a stamp set from My Minds Eye I purchased at Make Time To Create {sniff, sniff.} We miss you Dolly and Mary. I also used a EK Success Punch along the bottom of the butterfly paper. I love the border punches. They are so easy to use and add so much to your card or project. Well hope to see you all soon. Let's get stamping.

Just Be You

Hello fellow crafters. Longtime, no time.  We finally got moved in News Years Eve. Thank You to everyone who helped. Two months living with some special friends from church. Working every weekend and Greg working when he had the time or energy after work remodeling the house I grew up in Boonville.  It turned out awesome. We gutted it and put our personality on an old farmhouse. Hmmm, so nice to be home. My mom and dad live just up the road from us and my brother, sister, and two nieces live within a couple of miles. We had Christmas at our home last Saturday. What a blessing. Pictures of before and after are coming.
Now to get on with the card. I made this card at my friend Kelly's home. She has really got her stamp room all together. Wow. It was awesome. This card has Lost and Found paper from the Sunshine 6 x 6 pad. Lots of pretty paper. I am getting hooked on the pads. All the paper coordinates and as I told Kelly you can just bust the cards out. Hee, Hee. I used a die (the pendants)  I purchased at Make to Time to Create. So cute. I put rhinestones on the pendants also to bling it up. I used a spellbinder die for the bird piece and use the stickles fine glitter I got from MTTC. I love that glitter.
It really makes the pictures pretty as you can see below. I got the little flower from my friend Melody and dolled it up with a rhinestone. Ahhh, so good to get back to creating.

A Merry Christmas

Northwoods brings home to you. I can't get enough of these stamps. You can do so much with them. I actually did use these as the product samples suggested this time. You may not be able to tell but the stamped image is all glittered up and was it fun!  All you have to do is color your image if you want to, I did with chalks and add the glue with a glue pen and then glitter. I love it.

I miss Make Time To Create already. Dolly and Mary have encouraged me all along my growth process until I was able to actually design for them. Lets keep them in our prayers and I know they would want us to CREATE!

A Northwoods Christmas

Hello fellow crafters. Today I am uploading the second card I created with the new Northwood scenery stamp I purchased at Make Time To Create (MTTC). This was a super easy card. I stamped the image and trimmed it down to fit in the die cut window. I love all the die cuts that are available at MTTC.  They have almost any shape you want. I attached the scene to the window. I cut the paper from My Little Yellow Bicycle - Once Upon A Christmas paper line to fit my card. Punched the bottom with EK Success border punch. Die cut Merry Christmas from a Spellbinder die and applied it and the window with pop dots. So simple and quick, but very pretty.

I wanted to show you a close up of the window. Lovely. It's like looking through to the past when things where simple and more peaceful.
There are so many things in the Northwood stamps that you can make the center of your card. The next card will be highlighting something in the background I didn't even notice at first. Northwood stamps are a must have! You can do many different styles of cards with just one stamp.

A Season of Hope

A Season of hope, A promise of Peace. Christmas to me is a softening of the spirit and the presence of Christ. The Bible promises a peace that transcends all human understanding when we know Him and an opportunity to reach others with His beauty and grace. I can't image life without the promise of His Love.
Back to the cards, I love the lights, the music and all the beautiful decorations and crafts you can make at this time of year. The Northwoods stamps are in at Make Time to Create and they are truly beautiful. They have a board of example cards made along with two I made Friday at late create. The one above is the first one I made. It has pretty snowflake paper ( My Little Yellow Bicycle-Once Upon A Christmas) on the bottom with the Northwood stamped image layered on top of it and the brown strip punched and applied and the cardinal wreath punched out of the My Little Yellow Bicycle - Once upon a Christmas paper line. The saying is also from Northwoods. This card has been glittered although the picture doesn't do it justice. There are lots of winter scenes from Northwoods at Make Time to Create and several sayings also. I bent the paper saying and taped it down in two different places to give it a wavy two dimensional look. There are many ways to use the winter scenes which I will be showing you the next several days, so come back and see them and hopefully be inspired.

Blessings

At Make Time to Create on Friday night I bought a new pad of paper - Bo Bunny's Serenity pad. The style of paper has an oriental flair to it. I thought it was very calming and interesting to see paper inspired by a different country. My daughter went to China last spring break so I wanted to work with a new style of design. This pad has some unique colors put together and I liked the flowers, They reminded me of dogwood blossoms in the spring. The path was from clear sets from Inky Antics. My daughter said in China people aren't in such a rush and the path seemed to match the culture. This was a fun pad to work with. The Blessings stamp is from My Daily Bread - Mini Tags set. I have gotten a lot of usage with this stamp set. It comes with several different sayings and it makes this set indispensable.
We has a design meeting Sunday so the team will be coming out with some new designs. Mind will be Christmas. Can't wait! Below is a peek of the new products I will be using. :)

The Sweetest Thing

Make Time to Create has several lines of paper from My Minds Eye. This card is made from The Sweetest Thing paper, accessories and stamps. I love the fact that they not only have the paper but stickers, chipboard and stamps to go with the paper. It makes the card effortless to make and the scrapbook pages in the store with this paper are beautiful. My friend Melody made the pages and you have to go check them out. She is so talented. I love the chipboard pieces on the top right of the card they really add a lot to the card and they are adhesive also. I also stamped the envelop which peaks your interest when you receive the card. You know it is going to be something special.
When you go into Make Time to Create it is hard to decide what you are going to buy, but be sure they will have what you need or they are able to order specific things for you. Dolly and Mary are great about helping your project to be a success.

Seek Joy

Seek Joy, boy is that a hard thing to do sometimes. Yet I find that if I make the effort my day goes a lot better. This card when I look at it is a good reminder. It was simple to make and I had great papers to work with from Make Time To Create. This is the Almanac Line with accessories. I used a cameo from Jolees and the punch is from EK success.
This Saturday is the celebration of the anniversary of Make Time To Create. Dolly and Mary always make it special not only for them but for everyone. Get out and see the new products, enjoy the refreshments and do a make and take. Oh there will be SALES!!! See you there.

Song Bird

Happy Birthday to anyone who may be having a birthday, close to a birthday or just had a birthday. Birthdays are a gift. Another day to rejoice and make an effort to look for the good in the day and the people around you. It is hard some days more than others but the word calls us to rejoice in the day the Lord has made. It is up to Him to give us the power to do it. So happy day and remember you are here for a reason. God doesn't make mistakes! You are special.

P.S. This is one of my favorite cards I have made. They have the paper at Make Time to Create, Newburgh, IN along with the ribbon, rose and rhinestones, so drop in  and encourage our hardworking gals.

Memories

Ahhh, another Graphic 45, A Ladies Diary card.  So pretty. Women really had style back then. I look at this paper and it makes me want to go back and experience this time period. Again this card was quick to make and looks elegant. It has 4 different sheets out of this pad of paper. I made it in ten minutes. There are so many nice paper selections at Make Time To Create, I'm sure they have your style. They also have many classes going on this month. Check the calendar. See you soon.

Happiness Always

The title certainly describes the Graphic 45 tablet, A Ladies Diary. I love, love, love all the paper in this pad. It is so versatile. You can make masculine cards and very ladylike cards. It reminds me of a total different era, but in a warm way. They had such style and in turn your cards are stylish when you use any of this paper. I also put a strip of the paper on the flap of the envelope, as you can see above, to coordinate with the card.  I have several more cards to show you in the next few days so come back and see them. I hope this inspires you to drop by Make Time To Create and pick up a few sheets of this paper and make a fabulous card.

Graphic 45

Today's card is for a man. I always seem to leave them out in my card making time because I don't send as many of them. But, I recently purchased a pad of paper - Graphic 45 - A Ladies Diary, and it has some nostalgic paper in it of a time of style and dapper gentlemen. It was a peek into the past and what they wore and how they carried themselves. I couldn't wait to make the card above. It was nice to be able to have some paper that made it easy to create a masculine card. Our men are special and need to be encouraged. Who doesn't? I have been with my husband since I was 17 and we have had some extreme ups and downsssss. But we have made it through them. So ladies encourage your man and pray for the changes needed instead of pointing them out. Try a month of encouragement whether you receive anything or not. The first thing to do......Give him a card made from Graphic 45 and look for what you loved in him in the beginning.

Honey Bee

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. We have been busy at Make Time to Create. The Friday nite late creates are so fun. This was my first card I created with the new paper line HONEY in from My Minds Eye. It is so sweet. This first card was all flowers but this card actually shows the reason why it is called Honey. The bees and honeycomb pattern in the paper and the stickers that go with it are 2 cute. The flowers that draw the bees and the fun graphic elements in the coordinating papers make it bright and easy to create a special card for a honey sweet person. The washi border on the side did not look appealing on the roll but girls when you roll out the tape and apply it really adds to the card. Don't be afraid to try it. This isn't the only new line of paper in the store. Go to the Make Time to Create's blogspot and check out the other lines, and in the store they are twice as pretty. Hurry in they are going fast!

Honey Line

Wow the new lines of paper Make Time to Create have gotten in are beautiful. This is just one of the lines which is called Honey. It has flowers and bees and wonderful accessories to go with it. They are all on a paper rack together so everything is very easy to find. I love the big flowers and the smaller flowers to go with it. The chipboard pieces that are stickers are so easy to make a quick beautiful card.

Up close you can see they have raised tape behind it which I love for dimension. I added the bling of the gems on the middle of the flowers. Cute. Check back for more to come with this line.

Little Miss

Love this paper from Bo Bunny. It has it all. This card has just a few of my favorite things. Like birds, bird cages, flowers and pearls. The other sheets of paper with this line have young girls, teapots and of course a puppy dog.  The colors are warm reds, greens, browns and rust. No one will have a problem making a card or scrapbook page from this paper line. Choosing will be the only hard thing to do since Make Time to Create has a whole new line in beside all the great paper they had to start with. Drop by and do the paper dance.
